Car bomber kills eight Pakistani soldiers (The Daily Star Lebannon) |
At least eight soldiers were killed on Sunday in a suicide attack on a security check post in a Pakistani tribal region bordering Afghanistan, officials said. The bomber ploughed his explosive-laden vehicle into the check post, 20 kilometers west of Wana, the main town in South Waziristan, which has become an alleged hotspot for Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants.
