Islamabad, Taliban close to peace accord (Gulf Times) |
PESHAWAR: After a brief stalemate in their talks, the Pakistan government and Waziristan-based Taliban in the country’s tribal areas bordering Afghanistan are once again inching closer to finalise a deal aimed at bringing peace and stability to the restive tribal belt, official sources conceded yesterday.
